Depression will come step by step when a person feels defeated, in the second place, inferior, sees the future hopeless, and believes that I am weak, inadequate, or bad.

It is known that experiences in the first years of life have a great role in the formation of people's thinking. The stresses experienced during these periods can make individuals' threat and protection systems extremely sensitive, and fundamental or core beliefs about ourselves, other people and the world are formed.

Basic beliefs are integrated with emotion rather than relying on knowledge. For example, if a parent calls out "stupid" when they are angry with their child. When the child's mother or father is angry, he will feel stupid and ashamed in addition to being afraid. After a while, the characterization of fear, shame and stupid will become integrated. This vicious circle will come into play immediately when a mistake is made in the later stages of life, and it will lead to a weakening of the person's sense of self.

It can be said that the following childhood experiences have a share in the development of depression.

* A childhood devoid of love.

* Over controlling or high standard parent.

* Constant criticism. The child who is criticized a lot will tend to criticize himself, which will prepare the ground for depression.

* Parents being unpredictable. Parents who do not match the hours of the day, the day of the day are a source of stress for the children, and the child cannot make a clear distinction about what is right and what is wrong.

* A childhood passed without adequate protection, support and closeness from the family.

* Growing up in families with requests that exceed the child's capacity, such as taking care of their younger siblings or expecting early financial support to the family.

Lack of positive experiences such as love, closeness, support and interest in human relationships is one of the important factors that lead to depression. Being loved and wanted, being close to others, being accepted and belonging, having friends, being a member of a group, being valued to others, being appreciated, being attractive to oneself and others, having status and being respected decreases stress hormone levels, makes you feel, protects from depression. Conversely, unhappiness and depression may develop.

People's basic beliefs such as "I am or I am" can cause depression. Depressed people may have very negative thoughts about their ability to gain support, help, love, and appreciation from others.

Nobody cares about me.

My need for love and security is a sign of misery.

Someone with needs is weak.

Someone with needs is greedy.

* my needs are a nuisance for everyone.

* Beliefs such as my needs are more than anyone else cause anxiety to burden others, these people are unable to seek help from others and have difficulty in developing positive relationships with others. This makes it susceptible to depression.

Beliefs based on abuse and insecurity, such as `` People only care about themselves, someone who is good to me always has an expectation, people want to use me, if I show people my weaknesses and weaknesses, they abuse me, people are nice to make themselves feel good or show good '' the depressed person is seeing deceptions everywhere.

Basic beliefs about our status are also one of the problems in depression.

I am not as good as others, inadequate and worthless.

I have no confidence in getting what I want.

I can prove myself if I do great things, as well as feelings of shame, inadequacy, and dissatisfaction with my position.

Conflicts with ourselves, with others, or about what to think, say or do can leave us depressed. Don't be afraid to get support against the serious problem of depression!
