Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

From time to time, there are issues that everyone is concerned about. However, when these thoughts become obsessive and affect daily life, OCD manifests itself. It is a psychological disorder that makes even routine activities difficult.

What is OKB?

OCD is a mental illness that consists of obsessive thoughts, ideas and impulses, and repetitive behaviors called compulsions and mental actions.

Obsession

It is the thoughts, ideas and impulses that a person cannot prevent from entering and distancing himself from his mind. They come against the will of the person, they are regarded as irrational by the person and cause intense distress and anxiety.

Compulsion

Repetitive behaviors and mental actions performed to reduce or eliminate intense distress and anxiety caused by obsessions.

Types of OKB

Thinking that dirt will meet and cleaning obsessively,

Suspicion of everything and excessive control behavior,

Obsession with order and desire for symmetry,

️Touch behavior,

️Need-thinking thinking and hoarding behavior etc.

All these obsessions make people's lives difficult. For example, there are people who consider their clothes and their homes dirty and are obsessed with getting this dirt on them. These people spend most of their time cleaning. As a result of this situation, they do not have time to socialize.

Believing that a person will need it in the upcoming days, accumulating all the items they find makes their living spaces inadequate over time. After a while, they only have enough room to sleep.

Causes of OKB

◾️Disturbances in the function of the brain,

◾️Traumas experienced at a young age,

◾️Personal traits.

Treatment Methods of OCD
